    Bruce has over 40 years’ experience in real estate and holds the designations ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), ABRM (Accredited Buyer Representative Manager), CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute). He has traveled extensively completing hundreds of hours of advanced training in Residential and Commercial/Investment real estate and is a much sought-after instructor by many real estate organizations. Bruce was a partner in his own firm (Plummer & Co., REALTORS) until 1991 when he sold his company to Coldwell Banker Resort Realty, one of the area’s largest full service real estate firms. He served as the Managing Broker of the Lewes branch for 12 years, later as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the company, and most recently as the firm’s Broker and Chief Operating Officer. In 2022 the firm merged with Coldwell Banker Premier to create a twelve office Mid-Atlantic powerhouse serving five states and the District of Columbia and has since grown to 17 offices and over 250 agents. He served as President of the Sussex County Association of Realtors in 1987, has chaired its Professional Standards, MLS, Forms, Education and Bylaws Committees and received its President’s Award of Recognition in 2005, 2011 and 2016. He received the Association’s Educator of the Year Award in both 2009 and 2022 and has three times received its coveted REALTOR OF THE YEAR Award. In 2017 Bruce served as the President of the 4,500 member Delaware Association of Realtors, and in 2018 was named as STATE REALTOR OF THE YEAR. He received its President’s Award of Recognition and was recognized for his work on the State Forms Committee in 2007 and 2013, and in 2014 received the Peninsula Commercial Alliance’s Bill Vernon Innovator of the Year Award. In 2021 Bruce received the Live-time Achievement Award from SCAOR. Bruce served three years on both the Professional Standards and the Membership Policy & Board Jurisdiction Committees of the National Association of Realtors and served on the National Association of Realtors’ Board of Directors for two years. A fourth generation native to Lewes, Bruce and his wife reside on Red Mill Pond.

She has worked for several law firms in Wilmington, Delaware, including her own, and joined Ward & Taylor, LLC in 2005. She teaches real estate law and seminars to many unfortunate victims (whoops – agents) for Realtor professional organizations and has worked extensively with non-profit organizations in the Delaware Federation of Housing focusing on educating first time homebuyers and low and moderate income homebuyers. She is the recipient of the 2012 Leon N. Weiner Award for Fair Housing and three time winner of the KCAR Education of the Year Award. Barbara is past chairman of the Education Committee of Real Estate Commission. She enjoys running (but not very fast) and traveling (but not enough).
